Review on TecTecTec VPRO500 Golf Rangefinder - High-Precision Laser Range Finder Binoculars with Pinsensor, Battery Included - Black by Chris Moody

Spend a little more money and get Bushnell

I bought this range finder during the previous Revain Prime Day. I am a very avid golfer and tired of relying on my golf partners' range finders. In all the time I have used this product I have found the flag terribly difficult to fix even in the correct mode. He regularly picked up trees and other objects off the green. Even when I got what I thought was an "accurate" range, I shot again just to confirm this as I had little confidence that it was correct. Standing on a par 3 tee, everyone in my group was getting yards within a yard or two of each other. This range finder was always at 3 or more yards when I finally got it to snap the flag (usually 10 tries, rarely less). Now the range finder is complete garbage. The numbers are not fully highlighted. I tried the new Energizer and Duracell lithium batteries but that didn't fix the problem. It is clear that the device has become completely inoperable. I wish TecTecTec would send me a newer version and change my mind about their products, but based on my personal experience I would not recommend this product to anyone who relies on accurate golf course length. **Edit: Based on other reviews, the number disappearing issue I'm having is very common. One suggestion that someone came up with was to take the battery out of the device for a few days and put the device in a warm place to "dry out". I found this worked to an extent, but as soon as the battery is put back in the device for a while the numbers go away again. For these reasons and those mentioned above, I would still not recommend this to any golfer.
