Review on CrocSee Temperature Sensor Thermocouple 58 572°F by Joe Jordan

As many have pointed out, the quality of these devices is pretty terrible. There is no static relief, meaning the only thing holding the connector to the cable are 3 very, very thin wires. That being said, the cable itself seems to have some flaws. I have a broken wire somewhere. By moving the cable (while the paddles and connector at the end of the probe are perfectly still), I randomly get high temperature readings or none at all. Finally, the thread is not NPT. They are G1/4 like most imported valves, gauges etc. In general you can seal them with enough tape, especially for gravity applications. If it's a 60psi+ process line, you probably won't get it to unseal. Of course, if you're using this in a thermowell, it doesn't matter.
