Review on Reliable and Efficient DeepCool DQ850-M-V2L 850W Power Supply with 10 Year Warranty by Micha Bukowski (Pax) ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there is something to complain about.

The power supply unit disappointed only with the noisiness of the built-in fan. Basically, it does its job. The rest of the shortcomings, in principle, do not interfere. The assembly was assembled as "QUIET", the adjustment takes place through third-party software. But the noise of the PSU, or rather its fan, spoils everything. I'm just tired of collecting already and there is no desire to return the PSU now. In the future, we will look at the condition of the fan and, in which case, use the warranty. PS 11/17/22: Noise increased. Pros
  • Modular cables. The appearance is beautiful.
Cons
  • 1. When turned on and off, the PC makes a characteristic click. Answer from DEEPCOOL: "The DQ850-M-V2L power supply has a built-in relay and will make a crackling sound when the power is turned on or off, this is normal, please do not worry and use it with confidence." 2. During operation without load and under load, characteristic fan operation, rustling / crunching / crackling is heard. DEEPCOOL Answer: “First, we would like to apologize for the inconvenience caused by this. Please tell us the model of the processor and video card. Overload usage can also cause fan noise. Loose fans, worn bearings, and excessive dust buildup can also cause power supply fan noise. The power supply fan is a pre-installed version, and does not support other brands of fans, and does not support self-assembly and disassembly. Physical damage caused by improper personal handling will void the warranty. In a quiet environment with other fans off, it is normal for the power supply fan to operate at a decibel level of no more than 35 dB. In order to better solve your problem, we advise you to take a video and photo of the problem and send it to us." A guarantee is given, so far I do not want to bother with the return, we will look further. 3. Although the cables are modular, they are very rigid, it is a strange decision to use cables without braid, but only as loops.
