When I first received it, it was thickened and folded, so it was very flat. All I did was follow the instructions they sent me to throw it in the tennis ball dryer and blow it up. Not too hot, not too cold. It is very comfortable. Looks amazing on the bed. Although the white color gets dirty easily, it will wash out and bounce back like new. That's a great consolation. It's super soft and perfect! It's super soft and fluffy. I like that it doesn't give off static electricity. I have another blanket that fits. The price of this blanket is very reasonable so I took the opportunity to order it.
