Very pleased with this purchase, will recommend it to everyone!

Bought to pair with 70D in June 2022. Therefore, I will compare with her. I do not always have time to change lenses in a rapidly changing environment. Yes, and sometimes there are conditions when it is not better to remove the lens: dust, rain. The camera is suitable for both beginners and advanced users. In my opinion, there are no extra features. Plastic quality and pleasant to the touch. My hands do not feel a big difference in grip with the 70, but the difference in weight of 215 grams is well felt. 540 grams versus 755 grams. Turns off after 10 seconds to save battery. The button for turning on video recording is located to the right of the eyecup, and switching to the β€œVideo” mode itself is to the left. You can't accidentally switch like you did on the 70D. The camera has 2 types of MENU display, including a quick menu (Q): standard and color for beginners with visual tips in the form of icons. The color of the standard menu can be changed for your convenience. The camera has a function to retract the lens trunk when the camera is turned off. For example: the proboscis of a Canon EF-S 24 mm f = 2.8 pancake that pops out when focusing. Now the camera registers in the menu and allows you to correct aberrations not only for Canon lenses, but also for Sigma. I don't know about the rest, because I don't have any other companies. When working with my Sigma 150-600 mm f=5-6.3 DG C telephoto, the 77D focuses noticeably faster than the 70D. When shooting flying aircraft at MAKS 2022, I did not observe yaws. Autofocus is strong and accurate. With a shutter speed of 1/2022 second and in the "M" mode, I took about 2400 frames and there was still half the battery charge. When shooting through a 3” monitor, the 77D also focuses noticeably faster than the 70D. Does not work with Kenko teleconverters. Writes that there is no connection with the lens. Although the 70D works. When working with a Sigma 150-600 mm f=5-6.3 DG C lens and a Sigma TC-1401 teleconverter, the 77D has autofocus at the entire focal length with 1-point focusing. Autofocus is slow. All types of shooting are available. There is no autofocus on the 70D.

Pros
  • Fast and accurate autofocus, light enough, excellent build quality, 2 types of menu display, the presence of a top LCD screen, Wi-Fi and Bluetooth on the rear panel.
Cons
  • There are few photo editing functions inside the camera, but this is rather a nitpick.
