Solid mount to industrial equipment

Used to stabilize my 16ft wooden gate. The wind throws everything I put in front of the gate or attach to it like hell, so it doesn't swing open in the wind. I was able to use 4 of these top and bottom with 2x4's to keep the wind from opening the gate.

Pros
  • Made in China
Cons
  • Functionality

Good Quality A+ for Industrial Equipment

Surfaces and edges are well finished, no sanding required to remove bumps or sharp edges. Very strong, will not deform or bend. The depth is 1.5 inches instead of 2 inches as shown in the picture and the opening length is 3.75 inches instead of 4 inches. But the way I understand it, 2x4 isn't really 2"x4" either. Saw the same braces today at LOWES for less, about $4.75. The open bracket was also smaller.

Pros
  • For use with National No. 15 Rod Holder
Cons
  • Appearance

Stronger than you think

Very strong, bigger than I expected. Ideal as door protection. I closed on one side and opened on the other because I figured that with closed on both sides it would be harder to remove the bar and closed would be stronger than open. I'm happy with what I did, but looking back it would have been pretty open on both sides. Open is strong enough.

Pros
  • Made from hot rolled steel
Cons
  • Small details

Bought this and the accompanying open bar holder to use.

Bought this and the matching bar stand to use as a pair. The door jamb was unfinished and protruded about a half inch from the outside 2X4 frame, so I didn't go with a 2X4 lumber but used a 1" x 4" piece of oak hardwood which I think would work just as well would work. The fit is snug, but there's still enough room to take the barbell out. I added a drawer handle on one end of the hardwood to make it easier to slide in and out.

Pros
  • Confident
Cons
  • Out Of Style

cheap extra security

Durable and good value. There is no better way to improve the security of your doors that may not be used that often. I installed this on the back door of the garage which I only really use when we host people on our patio. I don't remember if they came with screws, but I would suggest drilling some pilot holes and using some screws. If anyone wants to break down that door, they're going to have to use a battering ram and make a hell of a racket. By then they must have regretted their decision…

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Not safe

Works very well with the other part.

First of all because some of them had problems, this is for a bar! I wouldn't buy two of them. For your best installation option, you will need to purchase another item along with this one. open. Here is a link for it. Stanley National Hardware SP15BC Open Bar Holder, Galvanized You must plan the installation as close to the door handle/bolt as possible without interfering with the door hinge. Check both sides of the door whether you are entering a stud, brick or concrete wall and be prepared…

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • No show
