Review on ๐Ÿ”ช ProntoPro Hone Manual Knife: Fast, Precise Sharpening for Euro-American and Asian Style Knives - Diamond Abrasive, 3-Stage, Black by James Mcphearson

Good product for cutlery and knife accessories

So far so good. Follow the instructions. Reviewers who had problems either had a defective product or didn't follow directions. 4-5 pounds of downward force with smooth blade back and forth strokes. I've always used a set of Lansky stones, but sharpening a knife takes time and I've always had trouble maintaining the sharpening angle with a longer kitchen knife. And there was a ridge. This tool is really easy to use. If you have used a hand stone before, you can feel the work of the roller stones in this tool. And it's a smooth run back and forth on roller stones. The instructions state that a dull knife can require more than 20 strokes. Some knives took 50+ but felt when the blade got close. I have a set of old (30+ year old) German knives, Hoffritz. , and some others that have accumulated over the years. After about 7 minutes per knife, they were all really sharp again. I recently bought a pair of TUO cutlery, German steel, 15 degree knives and this tool keeps them razor sharp. This is not a "3 speed" sharpener. Only 2"stage". A sharpening groove is provided for blades with sharpening angles of 15 and 20 degrees. And a polishing level that fits all knives, 15, 20 and serrated. I'm curious how long this will last, but so far it's 100% worth the price.
