The dimensions of the Stinger 300MCD21V remote are 3" long, 1-3/4" wide, 1/2" high (excluding the visor clip). The two-tiered contour of the Stinger -Facial makes it look smaller in your hand.The remote control with the included A23 12V battery and visor clip weighs only 1.2 ounces (very light).Will not fall off.When the clip is removed, the user's height and weight hardly notice the remote control when carried in a pocket or purse The battery cover slides down and is removed and is very easy to open with just your fingers This is a nice feature compared to other brands of remote controls on the market which often require a coin, small screwdriver, or knife to open them. The 10-position DIP switch block inside the compartment has a clearly marked on one side ON position Correct code setting. The A23 battery mount is pretty flimsy and there are no +/- polarity markings on the case to help the user insert the battery. I wish the quality of the battery holder was better. I tested the remote with a frequency analyzer and it was transmitting accurately at 300.0MHz, which is within spec. This is important because there is no potentiometer inside the case to adjust the frequency. The remote control has a red LED that lights up when the button is pressed. The range is excellent. In my situation, the remote control opens the gate at the push of a button 200 meters through a glass window, even if the path to the receiving antenna is partly blocked by a corner of the building. Very good!
