Review on ☕ TIMEMORE Coffee Scale, Espresso Scale with Timer and 2000 Gram Capacity in Black - Weigh Digital Scale by Nathan Issa

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Accurate, easy to use and good value

The price range for coffee scales is wide. $20-$200+. Crazy. I haven't had the chance to look at this scale myself so I watched a few videos and read descriptions and reviews here on Revain and elsewhere. I use this to measure coffee beans and then the weight/ratio of my espresso shot. Key features for me were accuracy, 0.2g or better, as well as reasonable speed and sensitivity to small changes in the coffee. Acaia Pearl S is highly rated, it would be better if it cost about 3 times as much. It has more features and an associated application. I really didn't need it. The accuracy and response times were the same for both scales, so I tried my luck with the Timemore. This scale looks great. It's easy to use once you figure out where to press the invisible buttons (leave the plastic with the buttons marked to get used to it). It seems very responsive with much less than a second weight change. It is noted that the accuracy is +/- 0.1g, but that doesn't mean it will weigh 0.1g. Minimum weight 0.5g. Some people don't understand this and get frustrated when the beans themselves don't register. My espresso machine already has a timer, but I liked the automatic timer. I played around with this a bit, but then just used my espresso machine to time and use the scale to measure the portion ratio. All in all it works very well as advertised, looks great, is easy to use and is great value for money.
