Been using Coleman lanterns all my life. I can't count the number of glass globes I've replaced, dozens at least. Get hot, bumped, shatter or crack.Was needing yet another, saw the mesh ones for sale, and for much less. I couldn't be happier! I don't notice (nor did my wife) a real difference in light output, the lantern (especially top) doesn't get so horribly hot, and hey, they'll never break! I have to wonder why they don't put these in lanterns in the first place. Tired of always worrying about lantern getting dropped or tipping over? Replace your glass with these screens. You won't regret it!
