Review on Park Tool Ratcheting Torque Wrench by Luke Cotton

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Decent upgrade to handlebar wrench

I bought this wrench because I found the Park TW-2 range of handlebar wrenches to be really difficult to use to install bottom bracket shells and cartridges and square cranks. -2, you really have to bend down to be in a position where you a. Read the indicator; b. Try hard; in. Balance the pivot point of the handle and d. Use your other hand to prevent the tool from slipping off the part. tw-6.2 avoids all these problems. The fact that it's a shorter wrench with no bend in the handle greatly reduces the chance of slipping off the bolt or fitting I'm trying to tighten. The key comes in a protective plastic sleeve and I'm glad because it was sent to me in an envelope not a box and the four corners of the sleeve were dented when I received it. That means it was dropped at least 4 times before I got it. Excellent. I'm keeping the wrench because in my excitement to use the wrench I missed the ringing and it seems to be working. But shipping a $130 torque wrench in an envelope is just plain unacceptable. It's a precision instrument, and its fall is momentous. This is not a pipe wrench.
