I am a mechanic and have purchased this product and many other similar Permatex silicone hoses. The lids on each of these items invariably broke before most of the contents could be consumed, causing the rest of the product to set prematurely. THIS LEADS ME TO STRONG SUSPECTS THAT PERMATEX DESIGNS ITS CAPS ON PURPOSE TO INCREASE PROFITS BY FORCING ITS CUSTOMERS (YOU) TO BUY ANOTHER TUBE OF ITS DEFECTIVE PRODUCT. This "design flaw" undoubtedly brought millions of additional profits to Permatex. If you have been a victim of faulty Permatex fasteners, I urge you to: 1.
