My daughter is 2 1/2 years old and loves this gift. We had a party with two big inflatable slides and she and her friend who was the same age were more interested in this toy than in inflatable slides and a pool. The fish are light and easy to pull, and the rods fold into each other for easy cleaning. We only had a few issues with them all getting confused but that's to be expected with the little ones anyway lol it has 3 poles so an adult and 2 kids played and entertained the girls for hours. It's also very funny, they look like hybrid fish lol. We had to catch an elephant/fish with tusks and all lol
