Review on Noctua NF A14 ULN 3 Pin Premium by Peter Bates

This review is short. I ordered this to keep my cable box (HD-DVR) from malfunctioning. I noticed that it gets quite hot, so I grabbed the CPU fan on the wimp and tried placing it on top of the device. It cooled the box well, but the noise was ridiculous. But the box started working fine without the need for frequent reboots. So I searched and searched for a silent fan. Despite being larger than I thought I would need, I went with this device. It comes in a nice box with lots of extras. I completed this by pairing it with an optional cable adapter for completely silent operation. It is not audible at all when the device is completely turned off. I have a good home theater and the fans don't work when everything is off. Noctua is the only one that works 24/7. And you don't hear it at all. And I wanted that. Fancy color which can be seen a bit above the packaging but overall a great product. Highly recommended.
