I've only had it about a week but am very happy with it. It's small and looks adorable on my desk. I got lots of compliments. It is very easy to set up and use. Fog output is good. I wasn't expecting much from such a small device. This is most effective when you can keep him close to you. As previously mentioned, it must be deactivated in order to refill it. The whole mechanism is on top, that makes sense. You know, it's probably safer too, because of water and electronics? While I'm generally happy with it, I do have one issue and I'm not sure if it's just my humidifier or if others have experienced it as well. I only use filtered or distilled water, but this thing gives off an odd smelling mist when I first turn it on for the day. It might be the stuff in the cactus, but it's a pretty weird BO-like smell. If I could use this thing as a diffuser it might mask the smell but I can't so I spend the first half of my work day worrying that people might smell it. Overall I'm very happy with this smelly little cactus. As long as it works I'm very happy.
