instead I don't know why this cooler has good reviews. They probably had the best version. I don't know if that's intentional or if I just have a bad cooler, but the mounting pressure on this thing is pathetic. I figured it should be quick and easy since it's the same mounting mechanism as standard Intel coolers, but I was wrong. It simply refused to mount properly. Every time I tried to press the pins on both diagonal sides, the other two sides popped up. I checked the installation guide and YouTube reviews to see if I did anything wrong. I was not. At one point I forced him to sit up, but the growing pressure is incredibly weak. Combine that with cheap pre-applied thermal paste and this thing won't cool anything as powerful as a Pentium. I hit 100° stress testing and 80° to 90° gaming on my I7 6700K with no overclocking. It's also louder than my AC unit. I don't know if I just got a worse version of this product but I won't even ask for a replacement. It's not worth it. I just take 212.
