I wanted something that a) protected the AirPods Pro case from scratches, b) allowed me to attach it to a purse or belt loop, c) made the case grippier and less likely to slip out of clumsy hands, and d) did not have separate pieces for the top and the body of the case. This checks all those boxes, and the glow-in-the-dark feature will be useful as well. It's a bit overpriced, at 7 dollars, for what is basically a bit of fairly cheap silicone. A more reasonable price would be something like 3 for 10 bucks. I'd bet that the price will come down in the future. The silicone is fairly thin. If your case takes a lot of abuse, I'd expect it to get scratched or even torn. Don't dangle it from your backpack while hiking through bushes! For my needs, though, it'll do fine. The glow-in-the-dark feature is something I'll find useful when I do some travelling in the future; right now, it mostly lives in a purse, and thus does not get a lot of daylight. Since I keep it clipped to the purse's key loop, finding it has not been an issue.Would it keep the case closed if I dropped the whole thing? Doubtful. If the shock of a fall is enough to cause an un-cased case to fall open, this won't make a difference. I've declined to try tossing my AirPods around to test this theory!I won't use my AirPods without a leash or earhooks; I keep those in a small zipper pouch, attached to this case via the carabiner (in the photo). I also use a stretchy cord to attach the whole assembly to a belt loop when I'm out and about, as the carabiner would just leave it dangling in the air as I walked.
