I bought two 16GB RAM cards for my new 2019 iMac (Retina 5K 27 inch). This is my first Mac, so I went with the cheapest option with a meager 8GB of RAM. Being a total newbie, I followed a YouTube tutorial on how to install maps and it was very easy. Actually much easier than expected. However, it was a brand new computer and my first two attempts to turn it on after installing the cards were unsuccessful. I thought the A-Tech RAM was faulty and before I sent them back I went through the reviews and found a lady who had the same problem as me and the solution she found (after trying, but still no tech support from the company), was to add cards, an apple, then another and repeat. So if you have 2 Apple cards with 8GB RAM, leave one in the first slot, then put the A-Tech card in the second slot, then the second Apple card, and finally the remaining A-Tech memory card in the slot . fourth slot. I don't know how it would have worked if you had bought a different configuration for me, but it worked, so a HUGE thank you to the person who left this review! After all, installing RAM yourself costs a lot of money. a saving through Apple's official channels and I don't think (but I'm not sure) this will void your warranty. While I can't comment on the efficiency gains after applying the extra RAM, everything runs very smoothly for me. I can easily use multiple applications including Photoshop. Also highly recommended for absolute beginners.
