overheating! Burned my USB
I liked this hub while it worked. Given all the work environments at home and needing a safe place to store data while working from home, I used this hub for my Dell laptop which only has an HDMI port and a USB port. I plugged the hub into a USB port and my secure USB drive (for storing data when I'm offline). It was working fine until about 2 weeks ago the hub completely overheated and burned my USB (with all my data on it!). I recommend a hub with a separate power jack so the hub doesn't get power from the laptop (or whatever device you're using).
