Like other seniors in their 70’s, my high frequency hearing has progressively gotten worse. For the last 2 years, I have been using a conventional BTE hearing aid, but always wanted to try these newest BT 5 enabled, earbud styled aid.I was very pleasantly surprised by this Maihear unit. The unit can be programed through the Soundware app to fit my hearing, and the volume can be finely adjusted as well. I found this pair help my hearing better or on par with my BTE aid. Plus, it can do so much more being connected with my smartphone while functioning as a hearing aid. It works well with both music and speech through the BT connection. I found it particularly helpful in phone conversations: I no longer need to take the BTE aid off and put my phone earbud on. Really exceptional value for a unit costing well less than $200 that can do so much!I made inquiry regarding the product registration procedure and got prompt responses even during holiday season! Good after sale service!Compared to conventional BTE hearing aid, these earbuds are of course bigger and clearly visible on the wearer. While some might prefer the conventional form factor and consider this as a negative, I personally do not mind this at all – just like wearing a pair of earbuds.Overall, I would rate this a 5 star.
