This skirt fits me perfectly in length (I'm 5ft 5in) and hits just above the knee. It is definitely workable as it is elastic waist. The elastic waistband ensures that there are only 4 stars for wearing comfort. It's a 1 inch belt that hits the thinnest part of your middle, which is annoying. I tried really hard to find a yoga pant-style wide waistband, but actually had a hard time finding one of those t-shirt fabric skirts. This is like a heavy, soft cotton t-shirt. "Cruffled" creases will appear, but a light mist of water will help smooth them out without ironing. Hope that helps!
