Not the quality you would expect from a Freud brand.

I have a good reputation for the Freud brand so I had high hopes for these blades. When they arrived I noticed that the sanding on the edges didn't seem to be permanent and the burrs on the edge were still there but not permanent. I didn't give it too much thought initially as I figured I'd want to sand the edge a little more. But as I began to work on the three blades in the set, I noticed that the factory sharpening of the three blades was inconsistent. You can see in my photos how contradictory they are. I adjusted my sharpening system to match the factory angle of the first blade and the photos show my sharpening touched the top and bottom of the bevel but not the center. It's okay, but if you look at the blade you can also see the highs and lows on the factory edge. The next blade had a completely different factory sharpening angle. You can see that by sharpening my system (with exactly the same settings as the first knife). On the second blade, the stone only touched the front edge of the blade. This means that the factory bevel was different on this blade. The third blade was/deformed. You can see in the photos how much the blade bends. Blade differences from one to another is not what I would expect from a normal quality brand like Freud. I wonder if these are fake blades. I would stay away from these blades unless you want to touch up more than just the factory edge.
