My relatively new Chromebook (about two years out of warranty) stopped working, all I got was a blank screen. So, like most non-technical ignoramuses, I immediately went to Google to find out what could be wrong. After trying all the simpler fixes, which consisted of pressing various buttons I was unaware of up to this point, I was almost ready to remove the back of the laptop and then disconnect and reconnect the battery, a task that I didn't do. Not looking forward to it when I decided to put $12 on this charger to see if the old one was bad. If I had a multimeter I could look at an old but decent multimeter for $12+ and that would most likely be a one time use so I went with the less expensive option. Anyway, I plugged in the adapter and the laptop charges. The problem is solved. If the problem turned out to be something else, I'd at least have an extra adapter.
