The remote control didn't work well from the start. By choosing solid single color lights I was only able to get 4 or 5 different colors. It changes through other colors when blinking, but I couldn't get those colors fixed. Also, the tree randomly chooses to have 2 lightbulbs of a different color, and the rest of the tree's lightbulbs are the color I chose. When the batteries were less than half empty, the tree just flashed different colors and didn't freeze. Now 10 months after I bought it, it just changes colors quickly and doesn't stay put. The remote control doesn't work at all, despite changing the battery. Flashing lights don't relax at all, so I give it all away. On the plus side, the wood itself feels strong and nice, and I liked being able to get the bulbs to stay put. Wouldn't recommend it though.
