Perhaps I just happened upon one, but the moment I powered it up, I saw a bright spot on the screen near the mounts (loops) connecting the case and the screen. A picture is worth a thousand words. The retailer refused to take it back because of the flashes, and when I asked if they could replace it with a different model, I was "unrolled" and told to contact Lenovo about their warranty. The lights should be turned on and checked before you buy anything, but you won't be able to do that until you hand over your money. Hence, think about this nuance. Maybe I was given a case like that. I can only add that his body is quite frail; nonetheless, he does make an honest effort in every mechanical endeavor he undertakes. They clearly gave it a hearty tightening at the factory, especially around the loops. You may see these lights "walk" when you open the lid.
