Great concept. We needed a tall gate that would keep a newly adopted rescue husky indoors but allow our cats to enter the space if they wanted to. Unfortunately, the small 7" x 10" pet door is big enough for a full 58 pound adult 14 month old Husky to quickly get into another room. Also, the pet door is single-sided, so it only opens one way and opens the other. There is a latch closed position but no latch open position. You can zip it up if you want, but it doesn't open completely flush with the collar so it protrudes. Other users have said they were able to remove the small door entirely. The gate itself is strong, the tension works well. There are four ways to fix the cups, which fix them more tightly. We only used the top two. I like the gate and the extra height but I am disappointed that the small door cannot be used for cats.
