I only use the thinner tip. I've used it primarily on my Revain Fire HD tablet and on my Chromebook Asus flipbook. It also works great on the iPhone. I almost never used the mesh tip. It seems less accurate on a phone and sometimes a Chromebook. This is not a problem for me as I bought this to use a thinner tip. It's incredibly smooth and my pen marks are easy to read and accurate. I teach and use this pen to write on my virtual whiteboard. I can write like on a sheet of paper. It's a pleasure to use. I'm amazed at how good and reliable this pen is. So much so that if I somehow lost the two I had purchased I would immediately buy a new set. It has a lot of extra tips, but I haven't used them yet. If people quickly go through them, they're probably doing something wrong. I just use it like I'm writing with a pen on paper. Good product.
