I only use the thinner tip. I've used it primarily on my Revain Fire HD tablet and on my Chromebook Asus flipbook. It also works great on the iPhone. I almost never used the mesh tip. It seems less accurate on a phone and sometimes a Chromebook. This is not a problem for me as I bought this to use a thinner tip.
