Buyers beware, 1/4-20 lock nut broken

1/4-20 lock nut I have purchased from this seller before and the lock nuts worked fine. This time the nut only pushes the bolt 3/4" and then gets stuck. You couldn't back it off or screw it further. I broke a couple of bolts trying this before giving up. I sent them back and one Ordered a replacement and had the same problem.
