These gloves are ideal for running errands, short winter walks with the dog and driving. I live in Wisconsin and these are the gloves I wear most. Your penalty is 10+ degrees (F) if you're only outside a few minutes at a time. If it's 20+ degrees it won't rain much, I take my dog for long walks in these gloves. They keep my hands fairly dry for short periods in light rain. My only complaint is the crazy touchscreen/power icon on the index finger. It's on almost all gloves and when I bought it I knew the symbol was on the finger so I won't remove the star. Most gloves these days are touch sensitive. I'm not sure why they would advertise this.
