I have a cat that has chronic uti issues and ends up peeing on the bed every few months. Cat pee can destroy a mattress really fast so when we got a new one I wanted to make sure he wouldn’t ruin it, sure enough he peed on it, like full bladder release, cup of pee peed on it, within a couple of weeks of putting it on and it completely protected the mattress, I was worried to wash it that it might tear up the water proof material on the inside but it came out of the wash perfect and protected it perfectly the second time it happened. Washed it again and still in perfect shape. I will never not have one again, it fits my 12” king mattress like a glove not too tight, not too loose, the only downside is that since it does have the waterproof backing it makes a little noise on the bed but I barely even notice it.
