I find it stylish and heats water quickly but it seems the seal between the inside and outside isn't very good because when the water boils it breaks seems that steam is coming from everywhere! I've seen steam seeping in from the bottom and condensing on the base (which for me might explain the "it was leaking" reviews) and steam escaping from the power button next to the handle. Speaking of the pen, it got so hot because steam was seeping right next to it! Comfortable rubber grip if I didn't have to burn myself on it. Another possible burn hazard is the top of the kettle. Many kettles have a hinged lid which is very easy and safe to use, but this lid is fully removable and requires very little effort to get on and off. Looks good but when you want to boil more water or don't want water to settle in the kettle and try to remove the lid it's very difficult not to touch the metal part of the lid because the handle is so small! Of course, boiling water also makes the metal very hot. So if you don't mind always using a towel, hot hand or oven mitt to handle this kettle's handle and lid, this kettle is for you! Affordable, beautiful gooseneck and looks great! But if you don't want to burn yourself or have water condense around the kettle, don't take it. 1 star from me overall because of these breakers.
