Works on 5 gallon Sea Portrait. The built in timer is useless, but if you choose the brightness of the LEDs, a traditional electric timer will turn them on and off when you want them to. I run it at full brightness. Cultivation of floating plants (Amazonian frog) is not a problem, some pearl mussels, java fern and crypts on the ground. The base of the clamp is held in place by a nut. When you loosen the nut and turn the light, the thin pins go into the tank and the plastic screw clamp comes out of the tank. everything will fit and work great.
