Nice Looking Gate - Security

The gate looks really good and isn't as flimsy as some of the less expensive models I've tried. My criticism is that swing gates are deformed in such a way that when pulled to the closed position, the latch fully protrudes from the frame to which it is intended to be attached. Thus, when properly fastened, the lower part of the gate will not line up with the frame. It works, but it doesn't look that great and requires attention to make sure you line up the pieces to latch the gate. I was hoping (expecting) a better design for the price. Our dog respects the barrier, but on a wooden floor, despite the weight of the panels, the cat can easily push the panels aside to get through, but the gate still stays upright. Other freestanding gates I've tried move easily on a wooden floor, but this one doesn't fall over as easily.

Pros
  • Double acting passage gate for easy passage; Dual hinge system allows flexible zigzag configuration or folds flat for storage
Cons
  • There are flaws
