This device has been tested on car exhaust and water heaters for over 10 minutes. No readings, alarms or reactions. Device reset, repeated tests. The device just sits there, no change from '0', pressing the peak button shows '0'. The device should take readings every 15 seconds and 30ppm should be the lowest the manual says it can read. I called support, they told me I was wrong, the device works. An informed device requires the following exposures to record peak readings or alarms: 36 ppm for 50 consecutive hours! 400ppm for 8 minutes. Readings are based on a scale, the higher the ppm value, the sooner the reading is recorded. Turning the device on and off does not register a low value. Support hung up during the call. I was unhappy but not rude or disrespectful. This device seems suitable for those who are fine with being slowly poisoned.
