Received my comb today and so far so good. The hairbrush came in nice packaging (in its own box and small shoulder bag) and overall looks very attractive. The scent of sandalwood is pleasant and unobtrusive. It feels pleasantly heavy and the handle is very comfortable in the hand. Wide teeth massage the scalp, which is very pleasant. My hair falls just above my shoulders and has a loose 2a wave (which can turn into 2b/2c with certain cuts and/or when very wet) and I find this brush very effective for wet detangling or separating of waves when dry. If, like me, you have tight little "rats” at the ends of your hair, this is not the best tool for getting rid of them. I still have to gently detangle them with my fingers and some argan oil or rosehip oil, but for big tangles and waves this comb is great! As for getting wet: I first used it on damp hair and noticed that the water dripped from my hair onto the surface of the comb. I wiped it dry before putting it on the dresser. I don't think you have to worry about comb damage if you don't leave it in the water, but I'll update my post if I notice any changes.
