Does its job very well. I was able to remove the minty overtones from wintergreen wine to leave the wine with a normal flavor. a very thick wine resulting in a smoother liquid that is easier to drink. I've used this for fine wine and somehow it made the liquid cooler (in temperature) which made the wine taste better too. All in all, it never spoils the taste. the aroma of wine, and only good wine, either does not alter it or enhances it. It is easy to use, just put it in the wine like a cork. I've heard they break easily, but I haven't broken mine, just take them out very slowly and carefully. They're also pretty easy to clean. You can't hit it, but you can run water through it after using it.
