Excellent for outdoor repairs
I have a category 6 outdoor cable that runs along the weather camera fence at our marina. The squirrel decided to chew through the wire just because it was there. I didn't know how to fix the break, but I found this waterproof device that allowed me to insert each chewed end into an RJ-45 connector and plug it into an outlet for repair. I bought a 5 pack because I have no doubt that at some point another squirrel will repeat the damage. Very glad I discovered this and it seems to be working fine.
