I bought the "1100 lb” version of this magnet. Just received it, and tried it on 1.25 inch steel plate, even thicker than they "rated it” with. On 1.25” pulling directly perpendicular to the the steel surface, it takes approximately 85 lbs on force to separate it. Being cheap foreign junk I didn’t expect 1100 lbs, would have settled for a 1/3 of that and been happy with 1/2, but this is less than 8% of the advertised strength. Pure scam.UPDATE: To make matters worse, I went to return this immediately after writing this review. This very product page at this time says that this is eligible for refund or replacement under revain's return policy. When I attempt to return it, revain tells me that it isn't eligible for return. At this time I'm trying to escalate this issue, but this is the worst experience I've ever had ordering from revain. Shameful performance from both the seller and revain.
