Review on ๐Ÿ”ช Enhanced TrueSharp 2 Blade Sharpener for Efficient Rotary Blade Sharpening by Srinivasan Bennett

Works well with stainless steel or titanium blades. Cheap blades don't come out on top.

I read several reviews of this product with mixed results and decided to buy it. If you use good quality titanium or steel blades this will work for them. If you try to sharpen cheap, inferior blades, they won't get or hold an edge. It's the same as with knives. A knife made of good quality German or Japanese steel is good and easy to sharpen. If you buy a cheap knife from a discount store, it will not cut, sharpen, or hold a blade. My Clauss titanium blade sharpens in about 6 minutes and holds the blade well. I tried a cheap blade for 30 minutes and it didn't cut through the butter. So if you buy cheap blades, throw them away when they get dull. Buy quality blades and you'll probably be happy. Don't expect to wiggle your nose and get a sharp blade right away. It takes effort. First, the blade geometry of your factory sharpened blade is different than the blade geometry of this sharpener, so it will take time to turn it into a new edge. As said, following the instructions and fitting the new edge in place took about 6 minutes, but after that the extra sharpening to hold the edge up after a lot of cutting didn't take that long. So overall, it's up to you, your patience, and your willingness to do what sharpening a blade entails. But at 2am when my blade is getting dull and I can't run out and buy a new one, a few minutes with this sharpener will do the trick. PS: Use lots of oil.
