Wrong hype Best in Power Tool Spare Parts

didn't come with a 2nd brick as advertised and had a reprinted label on the box saying there was only 1 brick in it. False advertising.

Pros
  • Excellent construction
Cons
  • Not bad

2 blades have become dull and broken off

The sharpener doesn't work. It became dull and broke off 2 blades. Rotary blades are expensive and it would be great to find a sharpener that actually works.

Pros
  • Lots of positive emotions
Cons
  • Some problems

difficult to use good for power tools and hand tools

As many have mentioned, it is difficult to use. For the sharpener to work properly, the blades must be perfectly seated. But the slot holding the blade in place is loose and they move. You have no control over blade placement as long as you close the lid to turn on the sharpener. That way you end up taking off what little is left of your blades. Don't waste money. TrueSharp needs to reverse engineer this if it's going to work properly.

Pros
  • few competitors
Cons
  • small things

I read several reviews of this product with mixed results and decided to buy it. If you use good quality titanium or steel blades this will work for them. If you try to sharpen cheap, inferior blades, they won't get or hold an edge. It's the same as with knives. A knife made of good quality German or Japanese steel is good and easy to sharpen. If you buy a cheap knife from a discount store, it will not cut, sharpen, or hold a blade. My Clauss titanium blade sharpens in about 6 minutes and holds

Pros
  • Absolutely amazing!
Cons
  • Empty
