Good Tire and Wheel Emergency Kit

Okay, I'll start with the good - it's packed with goodies. Not only does it come with the pump itself, but also a couple of screwdrivers, a utility knife, two sets of cables, a flat repair kit, and a plastic carrying case for everything that has a reflective hazard symbol on it. Most importantly, the air pump is powerful and fast. I have a couple of compact lithium ion air compressors and they can take quite a while to fill up, especially the last 2-3 pounds when trying to get 32psi. This makes it much faster and it doesn't sound like panting when you do it. The analog readings are easy to read and I really like the manual shut off when you reach your desired psi. He does exactly what he needs to do and he does it well. Not very good: it's heavy. Together, the body and parts probably weigh a good 15 kilos. Hopefully it just sits in my car for years and I never need to access it, but when I do I have to remember that it takes some weight to get it out. This kit also comes with a tire repair kit consisting of a pointed spindle/file to enlarge the hole after pulling out the nail and a spindle threader at the end of which you insert a long sticky plug and then insert it into the hole pulled out of a nail. It's a nice addition, but the material of the two spikes looks like it's aluminum. The threader in particular takes a lot of effort and I am very afraid that it will break and cause serious injury. I still have a steel set and I know how difficult it is for you to fit this part in the tire. I doubt I would use this supplied repair kit unless I was totally desperate and had thick gloves and even then I might not have used it. They also supply a cable to connect to the device and clamps for the car battery. These cables look very flimsy and I don't want to test them for fear of overheating the wires. Luckily, it comes with a 12-volt plug that you can plug into your car's cigarette lighter. tell you how old i am Otherwise, it's a great item to have in your car for emergencies that you hope you never have, but eventually you will.
