I bought this to drill 6 holes in the ceiling to install LED lights. This is a custom built home from the early 70's, so the drywall on the ceiling has a 1/8" to 3/16" thick plaster finish. By the third hole, the teeth are 75% gone and no longer cutting. I had to cut out the remaining three holes with a hole saw - this saw easily cut through the plaster-coated drywall. I'm sure a coat of plaster is more abrasive than regular drywall, but this bit is for cutting metal. I can't imagine this bit lasting very long in anything other than regular drywall. If it were advertised that way I would be happy with the result, but they present it as "cut all" which is very far from reality.
