Does what it should do. As a transformer (not a power supply), it not only converts power from 120V to 12V, but truly converts AC to DC. Typical power supplies lower voltage without equalizing the curvature, so when you connect 12V LED lights to it they flicker 30 times per second, it is very annoying. This transformer equalizing the curvature at 12V and keeps it there, so LED lights don't drive you crazy but produce nice consistent illumination.By the way, manufacturer, you should include the graphic representation of what I've described in the packaging, ads, and maybe even a label on the unit itself.Sorry if I've tortured the terminology.
