My handyman installed this vinyl door brush on two of my metal doors, one is a storm door front door and the other is an interior door leading to the garage. Both steel doors had worn vinyl brushes and allowed outside air to flow through the bottom of the doors. Also, since these brushes have a more versatile fit, there were no identifying marks on the doors, which made my research a lot easier. Very noticeable in the winter months when winds blow in inclement weather. The handyman really had to take both doors off their hinges, remove the old vinyl brushes that might have slipped off, and then replace them with new ones by sliding them open. You may need to trim the new vinyl stripper slightly with scissors. Then the doors hung on their hinges. Both doors open and close, but you might notice a little more resistance with the new sweep, but that reduces overtime. I notice more resistance from the front door which has a storm door in front. Since installing the new panels, I no longer have any noticeable drafts. Both doors prior to reinstallation allowed outside air to enter the house. My technician has never used this product but was pleased that the installation went so well. His only difficulty was that the garage door hinges had a tension spring and the previous installation didn't use screws long enough to grip the wood. He just spent a little more time replacing the shorter screws with longer ones to accommodate the needs of the door and hinges. I will definitely buy again. Delivery was quick.
