It really does look distressed
We love this rug because it's perfect for where we need it. It recommends vacuuming when you first get it, and it is indeed pretty linty, but it doesn't seem to keep shedding after that. Folds up surprisingly small and with minimal packaging. It is a no-pile rug, so it cleans up easily. The rug looks probably more faded and distressed than the picture shows and I don't think it would go in all spaces, but if that's the look you're going for, this will do the trick. It's soft under feet. We haven't tried to wash it (can be put into a machine per the care instructions), but will update if we do.
