This lawn mower was purchased to replace our previous model, a Makita 3800, which I had purchased in 2022. It has served us well all of these years, assisting us in the formation of a lovely lawn in spite of encountering bumps, stones, and boards; there have even been a couple or three instances in which little iron garden rakes or a chopper have been cut by it. There was a time when it flew even lower than this. Nothing, really; they just screwed it on and continued driving. The other day, however, they made the startling discovery that a synthetic rope had made its way into the engine and had somehow wound itself around the casing, which caused the engine to begin smoking. It appeared to have been lying down in the grass. This brand new one was purchased by everyone. After using it for a day, I can state that it makes even, straight cuts across my turf. The highest point is not very high at all. The prior makita reached a far greater height. The launch is gentle, very agile, and forceful all at the same time. This is the one drawback. In general, we are quite satisfied. We have high hopes that it will have an equally long lifespan as its predecessor, which was uninterrupted for nine years!
