Should have replaced it a few years ago!

I installed this in my 2002 Ford Ranger XLT. My original cruise control switches became so tight that it took a lot of force to press them. In winter they became even tighter and it was impossible to squeeze them. Because of this, I've found that I just don't use CC. This new switch set is so affordable and easy to install, I wish I had placed my order many years ago! You'll have to disconnect the battery and remove the airbag to install this, but if your old wiring harness is still fine then this is what you need. You can just unplug the wire harness on the switch itself and plug in new ones directly, plug and play. They are very easy to press and give a nice tactile click when the rubber is very soft and pliable and the lettering looks good. I didn't use the wiring harness that came with it, but it looks the same as the original wiring harness and I'm keeping it as a spare in case my original wires fail. ever bad. The green backlight on the switches is very dim and off. but the tton shines a little brighter than the power button, BUT the original switches still don't shine better, so I don't even see a minus in it. Five stars!

Pros
  • Excellent overall performance
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
