Hate the idea of an ugly top vent and don't want to splurge on a retractable vent on your island?
I was remodeling my kitchen and didn't want to invest in a pull out range hood as my cooktop is on my island and I didn't want an obstruction with a vent overhead. It fits the bill perfectly! He pulls out the cooking orders and shares the steam. The exhaust is very powerful. I chose an additional filter, but it is probably not needed. I don't fry much. It was a great alternative to an expensive, inefficient, rarely used traditional exhaust fan. The switch is connected to my island which is ceiling mounted.
