This is important because my kittens are always doing something like the door play in our house.

I use these because my two five month old male kittens remind me of a lot of my sons when they were in elementary school. My elementary school sons used to drive around the neighborhood with their friends in the summer looking for storm drains to catch impetigo and ringworm in the summer if they weren't smart. They held boys-only clubs in the park and built fortresses out of sofa cushions in the winter. Now my 25 month old male kittens remind me of my boys at that age. They have the same attitude, the same attitude, and the same lack of self-preservation. This is important because my kitties in our house always do something like a door game where one of them stands on one side of the door and the other on the other side and they then attack each other under the door and bang doors against each other others to BOOM! Either one of them actually gets stuck in the door when it closes, or one of them gets stuck in the room (if they're lucky). These door guards actually prevent the doors from closing completely. They prevent the door from actually closing completely, which protects kittens from serious injury and from being trapped in rooms. However, they don't keep the doors open wide enough that the kittens keep getting stuck in the doors, and also the guards aren't even tall enough for the kittens to be able to open the door all the way after it's slammed, but they are open definitely better than nothing. Those guards were a lot bigger than they are now, they would have been a lot more visible, so in a way I can't complain - they're almost as well designed as it gets. Definitely worth the money, it's better than nothing and I've already decided to buy more.

Pros
  • Pretty impressive
Cons
  • repair
